Hello. I'm Kathleen ONeill also known as Katie O'Neill of Katie ONeill Portrait Design Studio.
I am pleased to find you reading our web page. I wanted to take a moment to talk to you about what you can expect from our Portrait Design Studio.
We can work at any location, but do have our own Portrait Park ( an acre of property with a pond , trees, rocks and a great red barn) for making contemporary lifestyle family and children portraits right here in Friendswood. We are located right behind Friendswood High School Natatorium (POOL ) Our full service 400 sq. ft. studio space has been here since 1996 and is where we do most all our newborns and toddlers, formal portraits and High School Seniors. As a professional studio for over 26 years, we try to avoid the "lets meet at the public park " idea, because of the recent surge of people with cameras taking up time and space there.
I know you don't need your family and little ones to be distracted by dozens of people and other families in and around public parks or sitting in a hot car while waiting for a line of people with cameras to leave a park before your session begins. Children don't have along attention span. For that reason, we find our clients are most pleased with our private studio portrait park and have more great images to choose from when they are photographed without distractions of other children and families in a public setting.
Our quaint studio comes complete with backdrops and studio lighting, capable of photographing up to 6-8 people. Sit back and relax relax during your session or viewing appointment on our couches and ottoman. A newly remodeled bathroom with mirrors are available for you and your family. We have plenty of parking and have room for FFA Agriculture trailers for large animals as needed for Senior sessions.
We offer online viewing , but prefer to have you view your images back at the studio on our 53 inch monitor tv, so I can assist you in making great decisions as to designing your portraits for your home space taking up time and space there.
Lighting for family portraits is not just about walking in the sunshine with your back to the camera, or having harsh sunshine across your childs face.Great images happen in the camera, not adding dozens of " Photoshop" effects to wash out skin tones. Great portraiture requires an understanding of natural available light and how to use it. Look through our images, and decide for yourself.
